Immersive Field Trips
25-Seat Immersive Full-Dome Theatre and Projection System
Our ultra-portable full-dome theatre, sound and projection system comes right to the classroom. Everything is included, from delivery and setup to content and presentation so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
Reinforcing Curriculum Standards
All of our content partners develop shows to directly support K-12 curriculum standards. Many of them come complete with educator guides, standards breakdowns and handouts. OpenDome takes that one step further and curates our show selection to offer the industry’s top educational immersive films. We work with teachers across the state to ensure that the experience directly targets the curriculum that students need to understand.
Experiencing Planetary and Microscopic Scale
The immersive space is best equipped to show scales of size because it is “frameless”. With no walls or objects in the space it is possible to BE inside of an atom or travel the galaxy!
Traveling to Impossible Places

Classes can travel to the rainforest, walk on the moon, swim underwater or journey inside the human body; All without leaving the safety of the classroom. There’s simply no other way to “experience” these foreign and remote places in the classroom.
Interactive Engagement
Children need to experience diverse environments for themselves and portable immersive environments are the closest approximation to actually “being there”.
Affordable Choice
Many schools simply can’t afford field trips. Transportation Costs have risen to high levels and auxiliary costs such as lodging, food, attraction admission, supervision can be overwhelming. The lightweight production and zen technology that power the portable immersive dome provide a low-impact opportunity for millions of people to virtually visit otherwise impossible to reach places
Payment Options:
Option A) School Funded Education Supplement
Schools usually elect to pay for the educational experience at a per day package rate.
2 Days can accommodate 12 classes, 360 students, and at least 2 grade levels. This is the most popular option and an affordable yet imperative educational supplement.
Ask your principal today if there is a small fund for integrated experiential education!
Option B) Student Funded Field Trip
For less than the cost of lunch every student can experience this! Students in specific grade levels are sent home with a field trip permission form and a request to bring $5. It’s our commitment not to turn students away so we’ll allow some “scholarship” leeway in each class. There’s no limit to the number of classes or days we can provide.
Option C) PTA or other Sponsored Event
Applying for grants, fundraisers, or partnering with local business or community organizations can be successful strategies to bring the immersive experience to your school. Our team can help by delivering a promotional package with sponsor benefits and a press release. Please visit our website for a current listing of grant opportunities.
